The popularity of designer handbags is at an all-time high. Everywhere we look, from the high street to the nightclub, everyone is carrying a trendy new purse. It seems that we are often so preoccupied with our new handbags that we tend to forget about the people behind the designs. I started trying to develop a shortlist of my favorite designers, but I realized that I am in love with the work of far too many to list. The following are just a few of my favorites.
Chloe is, by far, one the greatest design houses in the world. I absolutely love their work! At times, I feel that some of the French designers are a little over the top…but where would true fashion be without their sense of creativity and innovation. Chloe has been a leader in the world of fashion, especially since the Stella McCartney assumed the helm. Her star power and understanding of classic design reinvigorated a company that was often lacking the cohesive aesthetic that truly binds a collection together. Make no mistake about it…Chloe is the new Gucci!
Vivienne Westwood has done more for British design that any other designer in modern times. In many ways, the entire punk genre owes her a debt of allegiance. Vivienne was just a young girl during the heyday of punk, when she met a fellow named Malcolm McLaren. For those of you not particularly well versed in your punk rock history, Malcolm was the manager of the consummate British punk band – The Sex Pistols. After dressing the Pistols for a number of years, she opened her own shop in London called Sex Boutique. Punks worldwide have adopted her design aesthetic, and the rest is history.
Monica Botkier is yet another brilliant designer. Her designs are held in high esteem by women all around the world. After spending the early part of her career as a fashion photographer, Monica Botkier has certainly spent enough time in the fashion world to know what constitutes a great handbag. She is able to strike the perfect balance between function and form, and her designs are some of the most sought after with fashionistas everywhere. Monica Botkier's designs are famous for their detailing, hardware, and innate sophistication.

Rent-a-bag…the hottest new trend
I was surfing the net the other day, and came across an article that left me flabbergasted. As you all likely know by now, I am a designer handbag fanatic. There have been months where I have seriously considered bouncing my rent check in order to buy a purse I simply could not do without. Who am I kidding? I have bounced my rent to buy a new handbag! And I would likely do it again.
Well, it appears that my dilemma has come to an end. I was surfing the net the other day, and came across an interesting article. It was about the burgeoning industry of designer handbag rentals! Now I have heard of luxury car rentals and even designer wedding dress rentals, but I never imagined a day when I could rent the latest Chanel purse. Can you picture yourself going into Blockbuster Handbags and renting the purse you have been saving your money for? I know I can!
There is a company called Bag Borrow or Steal that, as far as I can tell, is the first of a kind. They have a wonderful website, and a business model like no other. It is very similar to Netflix or something to that effect, but you rent handbags instead of the latest DVD. Somewhat similar to renting videos, you pay annual subscription fee and you are given access to a collection of beautiful handbags to use on a temporary basis. The type of bag you are allowed to borrow is determined by your membership level. Memberships range from $19.95 to $174.95 per year. You can keep the bag for as long as you like, but it must remain in the condition you received it in. I wonder if they have an insurance plan.
After doing some research, I discovered another company that is offering something similar. They are called From Bags to Riches, and their service are slight different from the company mentioned above. Instead of charging an annual membership fee, this company allows you to rent on a weekly or monthly basis. The price of the rental is determined by the duration and type of bag you want to rent. This site organizes their collections by brand name, and monthly rentals range from $$19.90 to $79.80. They also offer their customers the option to purchase their rented purse, if they cannot bring themselves to return it. They know me so well, don’t they?

That's my bag, baby!
Greetings and salutations, my loyal readers! Let me tell you a little story. I was out shopping with some friends last week (surprise, surprise) and I had the strangest altercation. My friends and I were at Sak's 5th Ave. to check out the latest designer handbags, and we are all raving over this incredible new purse from Coach. If you have read any of my previous work, you would know that I am Coach's biggest fan!
It was a beautiful purse! It had incredible vintage styling, and was constructed from the finest, most supple caramel-colored leather. I was literally drooling over this purse, as were my fellow shoppers. As I was inspecting the bag and admiring the awesome multi-colored liner, I could sense that somebody was peering over my shoulder. I turned around to discover another woman lusting after the very handbag I had in my hands.
At this point, I was both annoyed and afraid. I was annoyed by having a stranger invade my personal space, and scared by the crazed and maniacal look in her eyes. This woman looked like a junkie waiting for her next fix! In the past, I have written about my struggle with being a designer handbag junkie. It was, however, all in good humor and I did employ a certain amount of creative embellishment.
This woman, on the other hand, looked like she was about to attack me! I couldn't believe it. Fortunately, I had some friends with me. Otherwise, I suspect we may have had a catfight on our hands. Needless to say, I made a hasty escape with my new coach handbag. Later that evening, I sat down at my computer to write some new copy for the site and I had a really hard time forgetting about this woman. It got me thinking about the bigger picture, with regards to high end consumer items like designer fashion accessories.
Why are people so strangely obsessed with trivial items? Why do we place such value on inanimate objects? I am generally not one to consider designer handbags and fashion accessories trivial, because I am absolutely in love with them. But in the bigger picture that is reality, these are not important matters. Handbags are simply something I am interested in, and write about for my website. Sure, I have more bags than I could ever possibly put to use. But I am far from being fanatical about them! Well…most of the time.

Handbags Online
It used to be that women went to the store to buy handbags. Nowadays we can purchase handbags online and get a wider selection to choose from. If you are looking for hip, name brands, or traditional handbags then online shopping is the choice for you. Shopping online, one can see the Petite Sassy Handbags or the Large Petite Handbags that have pictorial designs, or else we can search the market for a more appealing style that fits our age group. The Internet retailers and wholesalers for handbags fit all styles and tastes. High quality brand name handbags can be seen online offering fashion that comes in all sizes, colors and shapes. While purchasing handbags online, often we can get better deals than shopping the traditional method. Many of the stores will offer a full refund if you are not satisfied with the handbag chosen.
Handbags can make perfect gifts for birthdays, anniversary, Christmas, and so many other occasions for giving. Most women enjoy having a selection of handbags on hand for different dress wear and occasions. Others prefer smaller purses. Myself, I do not like carrying purses, but I would look pretty silly running around with a bulge in my pockets, so I prefer the smaller handbags. Generally black is the best choice of handbags, since black will fit with most outfits worn. However many appealing handbags come in a variety of colors. The blue jean handbags are appealing, but generally the style is only for outfits that match the purse. The Belle Rose handbag is said to be one of most fashionable bags on the market. Belle Rose is a work of art, and is appealing, colorful, and light to carry. The handbag comes in a variety of colors also, and will fit the business appeal, sexy style, and traditional dress wear.
Some of us enjoy the appeal of cartoons. Cartoons seem to give us a sense of laughter. Betty Boop handbags are available on the market, and many stores provide licensed brands, which mean it is original. The handbags are stylish, entertaining, and combines a classic appeal with a modern taste. Regardless of the occasions Betty Boop handbags are great.
The Dian & Dion Handbags are a modern luxury bag for all occasions. Similar to the "Louie Vuitton" handbags, the purse provides quality and style. The Dian & Dion handbag is endurable and can make the perfect gift for all occasions.

Flashy, Hot Handbags
They are flashy, hot and very in for the season. Metallic, sequence and don't forget the faux fur handbags. Just take a look at a crowd and you will see quite a collection of each of these three. They are not hard to spot and definitely make heads turn. Which head turning style do you like to carry this season?
Let's start with the flashiest of them all, sequence. They are everywhere and everyone is carrying them. They do seem to be a bigger hit with the younger scene. They come in an array of colors as well as sequence styles. Carry them with any outfit and they'll dress it up no matter what the look. Do be careful, the looks you get may only be on your handbag and not on you. If you want your great outfit to stand out, I don't recommend carrying one of these handbags.
Metallic is all the rage also. Just wait for the holiday parties and you will see an explosion of these. They come in many different colors but bronze definitely tops the list. There will be the gold rush in December for all those fancy outfits. Gold is being paired with black and also brown. That black little dress is going to look fabulous with the metallic evening bag and the big beaded necklaces.
Now don't forget the faux fur bags. Some stand out very much but not as much as the sequence and metallics. There are plenty of faux fur trimmed jackets, tops and boots out there. The faux fur handbag will set off the ensemble. Some are a bit on the wild side and others are just really neat looking. As long as they don't make a roar, these are the tamest out there of all three.

Latest Fashion Trends in Unique Handbags and Purses
If you’re looking for something a little different, there are literally thousands of beautifully crafted unique handbags and purses available for purchase online. If you’re tired of the mass-produced offerings you tend to find at the mall, the online handbag, purse and fashion accessory market is an exciting and exotic new world.
The variety of unique handbag and purse designs keeps getting bigger, better and more innovative all the time, but as with every kind of fashion accessory, interesting trends emerge with every new season. Here is a brief rundown of what’s coming in unique purses and handbags.
Cloth Purses
Cloth purses are very casual fashion items, so colorful fabrics and whimsical patterns are the strongest trend. If you love bold colors and striking contrasts you’ll have a great time shopping for cloth purses this season.
A cloth purse is mostly a spring/summer fashion accessory, so expect to see warm colors, and light breezy cotton or nylon fabrics. Fresh, summery patterned fabrics with flowers, fruits and ladybugs are always popular.
Also very fashionable is the clever and practical reversible cloth purse. You can literally turn the purse inside out to reveal the alternative fabric pattern, so you have two purses in one.
Monogrammed handbags
Monogrammed bags and purses never really go out of style, and this season we’ll see a huge range of colors, shapes sizes and styles.
A strong upcoming trend is leather sling hipster handbags with elegantly embossed initials or a name. Soft leather is a beautiful fabric for handbags because it’s durable, always very stylish, and it goes with everything. Sling handbags are very comfortable to carry, and perfect either for business or as a casual accessory.
Monogrammed tote bags
Tote bags are the most casual fashion accessory of all, and perfect for the beach, for picnics, or for a little shopping. Monogrammed tote bags are also great for kids to carry their school books or gym clothes, and having their initials or name printed on the bag means they won’t lose it.
Soft cotton canvas is the classic fabric for tote bags, and we’ll see an abundance of canvas tote bags this season.
The big trend for monogrammed tote bags will be big initials, printed across the whole side panel of the bag in big, bold colors. A single first initial of your first name as a monogram has a casual, whimsical kind of feel.
Dog purses
Everyone loves dogs, which is why the fashion for handbags, tote bags and purses decorated with a full panel photo of a gorgeous dachshund, poodle, beagle, yorkie or dalmatian just keeps getting stronger and stronger every year. Dog purses are a great gift idea for anyone whose best friend is their beloved hound.
Custom-made dog purses are also becoming more and more popular. You can have your own photograph of your dog printed onto a handbag, so your bag, like your dog, will be truly one of a kind.
Photo purses
Photo purses are simply ultra-cool, and the most individual and personal of fashion statements. You can have your own photo of anything you like printed onto a purse or handbag, like a special person in your life, your cat, dog or bird, or even your car.
A very trendy idea is to use a romantic old photograph of a relative as a model for your photo purse, so you can cherish their memory wherever you go.
Initial purses
Initial purses are a fashion accessory with a personal touch, and they make wonderful gifts. You can have just about any kind of purse printed, embroidered or embossed with a single initial or set of two or three initials in a wide variety of styles.
As for handbags, leather will be a big trend in the upcoming season for purses. We’ll see lots of small leather purses with a comfortable sling shoulder strap, elegantly embossed with two or three initials.
Cigar box purses
Cigar box purses are another strong trend for the coming year. They’re literally made from a wooden cigar box, fitted with a clasp and a handle, and embossed with an artistic or photographic image.
The most fashionable cigar box purses are decorated with advertising images from the glamorous 1920’s and 30’s. European advertising artwork from that period has a particularly elegant and alluring style, so we’ll be seeing a lot of Cinzano, Cognac and French Perfume labels on cigar box purses.
Hobo purses
Hobo purses can be cool and casual for shopping, or groovy and glamorous to go with evening wear.
Casual style hobo purses come in suede or leather, and soft colors like pastel pinks, beige, cream and white are very much in vogue.
A new look for hobo purses which is on the way in is a small purse in a gold or silver mesh fabric, or even ultra-glamorous sequins and rhinestones. These purses are a new take on the traditional evening purse, and make an eye-catching alternative.
Clutch handbags
Clutch purses and handbags have an elegant, streamlined look, but they’re the perfect size to carry all those little necessities.
The big look for clutch purses and clutch handbags in the coming year will be all glamour. Shiny metallic gold, silver, bronze and platinum shades will be the strong colors of the season, in soft suede leather.

The beauty of Handbags
Handbags made with leather each have their own individual characteristics, as no two pieces of leather are alike. There are many different kinds of leather purses as well. Some designers prefer to use lambskin leather for its very soft, and supple feel and excellent look, whereas others may choose to work with cowhide or pigskin leather which possess tougher, more durable properties. As awful as pigskin may sound, it actually makes for a very soft and nice looking leather.
When shopping for a leather bag you don't necessarily think about what kind of leather it is, just as long as it's leather. Whatever type of leather the handbag is made with, you know you are getting quality material. For this very reason, leather purses usually cost more than any other material, but just remember that it's also going to last longer than any other handbag.
Leather purses can range in price from very reasonable to very expensive. It all depends on the handbag designer and the quality of the leather. Remember though, that when you purchase a leather bag it's going to last you a long time. So the extra dollars is well worth it!

Spotting Counterfeit Designer Handbags
You may try to save a few bucks by buying a designer handbag replica, but there are several reasons why it makes sense to buy the real thing:
1. Although replicas may look like the real thing, the workmanship and quality can't be compared to the original.
2. Counterfeiters avoid paying taxes since their businesses are generally operated on a cash basis. Citizens like you and I still have to pay.
3. The sale of counterfeit designer goods has been linked to terrorist and gang activity as well as organized crime. Drugs are often smuggled inside counterfeit handbags.
Spotting a Fake
There was a time when it was easy to spot a fake: misspelled logos, cheap leather and shoddy hardware. Now, fakes are starting to look rather good and it’s hard to tell the difference. Here's how to tell what’s real and what’s not:
1. Authentic handbags are purchased from authorized registered dealers. Authentic designer handbags are not sold by street vendors, at home parties, at flea markets, in New York's Chinatown, in Los Angeles' Santee Alley, or at mall kiosks.
2. If you’re considering a Coach handbag, the company’s website provides a list of authorized dealers. Both Coach and Kate Spade give detailed information on spotting replicas of their products.
3. The price. A new Prada handbag will not sell for $50.
4. Country of Origin Labels. The country of origin for Fendi handbags is Italy. If the handbag has a label that says “Made in Taiwan”, it is not the real thing.
Buying Designer Handbags Online
If you're shopping online and find a designer handbag at a price that’s hard to pass up, there’s a way to tell if you're getting an authentic product:
Read the product description carefully. Some online merchants will lure you into their sites by describing their products as original, authentic or genuine. After reading descriptions, you may find such phrases as “inspired by” a particular designer. This product isn’t authentic and the phrase is used to protect the merchant from trademark infringement.
Want to know for sure it’s real?
Buy designer goods from authorized registered dealers only. That’s the only way to be sure that you are purchasing an authentic designer product.
Which Handbag?
Having the right handbag can be the most important part of your outfit. Not only should you have the most stylish bag around, but the type of handbag should be appropriately matched with the style you are sporting. Here are some of the simple things to remember when you are grabbing one of your designer handbags before you run out of the door.
The most important thing to consider when matching a bag to your outfit is size. A large bag is very casual and should only be worn so. One piece of clothing should be loose to compliment the size of the bag. A loose top or a skirt really help the bag flow with what you are wearing. Small bags with a shoulder strap are great to be matched with a sun dress or jeans with a snug top. This type of purse is the easiest to wear and is usually moderately priced by most designers. Large bags get expensive very easily, so don't blow money on a lot of large bags. A clutch is a very versatile purse especially if it is black. Clutches can be matched with anything from a dress to an evening gown. Very dressy handbags will usually have sequins on them and they should only be matched with upscale evening wear.
Great brands to invest in are the top designers that have been around for a while. They usually have a classic line that stays in style for many years. Classic designs by Gucci and Louis Vuitton usually compliment a variety of outfits and you will get your money's worth out of them. You can update classic styled handbags with flower pins or simply tie a scarf onto the strap. A good way to find out what the latest trends are is to shop around and see what designers are adding to their most recent bags.

Secret To Getting Handbags To Resell
If your looking for Coach, Prada, Gucci, or Dooney Bourke handbags to resell on ebay or overstock.com you may have a hard time finding a distributor. Ebay power sellers have this knowledge but they will be hard pressed to share this information with you. But, I am going to share their secrets with you. There are three techniques to finding a reputable wholesale distributor of handbags.
First, and this maybe one of the harder techniques discussed. Develop a relationship with a brick and mortar store that's selling the brand handbag you want to sell and if they don't have a presence on ebay, offer to bring their business to ebay for a share of the profit. This can become a win-win situation for both of you. One, you will have gotten an unlimited supply of authentic handbags to sell on ebay and for your supplier, you have just increased their business. Offer yourself as the expert of ebay. You will create the website templates and maintain the ebay site. Now you will have to work out the details as to shipping. I suspect your distributor would want to handle the shipping and that's great for you. No stock!!! Just collect the money and send the order to your distributor for shipping.
Second, find a middleman. There are actually middlemen out there that will find you the product you are looking for if you have the right price. Now most of these middlemen will want you to buy in bulk. In bulk means minimum of 100 units or up at a time. But the more units you can purchase the better prices you can negotiate. Now don't expect to get handbags that are up to date. Te bags are authentic but these handbags usually come from the past season, over production, or close out items. Don't get discouraged with that. These bags still sell like hot cakes on ebay and overstock auctions. Middlemen can be found on the Internet. But be careful. Always look for authentic handbags. If the middleman does not have authentic handbags they usually omit authentic from their sales Internet pages. Do your research on these middlemen. Check their about me pages and their guarantee.
Last but not least, go directly to the wholesale source. Go over to Italy, New York, France and purchase the closeout items yourself and hire a shipping company that specializes in shipping overseas and dealing with US customs. This is where you will get the best discounts. But you will need to fork over an large sum of money. But you will most likely make 2 times the amount paid once you get this merchandise back to market.

Shop for Replica Handbags Sensibly
We all acknowledge that handbags are great business. The top designers like Prada, Gucci, Coach, Burberry, Dooney and Bourke command large investments when you acquire one of their purses, often in the thousands of dollars. So, it is no big surprise then that replica handbags, often called “knock-offs,” are growing like a big business.
If you’re looking for the real deal for a steal, be aware that in order to actually get the authentic designer item you will have to most likely fork over some big bucks, regardless of that tip your friend gave you for a little shop where you can get the same thing for hundreds less. It is not likely, say most experts. In fact, top designers make it rather common knowledge how you can spot the real product. And they say, you will not find a real Gucci through a street vendor, regardless of what he or she is advertising.
How do you tell the difference? Experts say there are all kinds of clues that will alert you to a fake. There is exact match of fabric and material, the way labels and decorations are attached to the bag, even the type of thread and stitches that are used. Tips such as these are just as handy when you are shopping for a replica and trying not to be duped into spending more than you must. Handbag counterfeiters try their hardest to lead you to believe that the bag you just picked up is a real Prada, and that you can have it for an attractive percentage less than the real thing just because that’s the last one they have in stock.
When you are shopping for a replica, shop with a vendor who advertises top quality replicas up front. A reputable retailer will be honest about their products, and their prices should reflect drastic differences between the authentic designer purses. Also, shop with a business that is recommended by a friend or colleague. Shopping over the internet, sight unseen, puts you at risk for being ripped off. Make sure the online retailer has drastic differences in prices from the originals. They should be honest that they are in fact selling replicas and not hinting that the handbags are originals with deep discounts. To many consumers, quality replicas are a fine replacement for the original.

Designer Handbags for the Rich and Famous
For as long as I can recall, I have been completely obsessed with designer handbags. I spent the majority of my youth dreaming of the day when I could afford to buy my favorite designer handbags. Here I am, some ten years later, still looking forward to that day. While I have been known to skip out on my bills to buy the latest trendy handbag, I have yet to spend more than $1000.00 on an individual bag. A girl can still dream, can't she?
I was leafing through some catalogs over the weekend, and I was amazed at how incredibly expensive some of the high-end designer handbags really are. I knew they were expensive, but I had no clue how very expensive. Oh…the innocence of youth! I decided that it would be useful for our legion of faithful readers to have a handy reference of the most expensive designer handbags on the planet. So here goes…It has been written about countless times in the press and in the blogosphere, but I simply cannot resist this little gem! If I had to name an all-time favorite design house, Fendi would be the one. I don't know how they manage to do it, but they are consistently able to strike an incredible balance between innovation and classic design in all of their creations. Fendi designs some of the most exciting handbags in the fashion industry, and the "B.Bag" is one of the most sought-after handbags in the world. One might think that the $30,000 price tag might be a deterrent, but not for those with the means to support their addiction!
Another bag that has given me far too many sleepless nights is the Hermes "Birkin" bag! These bags were named after Jane Birkin, the oh-so-fabulous British actress and fashion icon. These bags are often duplicated, but never truly replicated. With a price tag of over $20,000, it is easy to understand why they are a favorite of vendors of cheap, imitation handbags. As you are likely aware, these bags are available by special order only. Furthermore, the final costs will very much be dependent on the materials and hardware used in their construction. Wow! Do I need a Sugar Daddy, or what?
If there was one other bag that creeps into my dreams with any regularity, it would be the "Muse" from Yves Saint Laurent. It is very much like a traditional bowling bag in shape and design. The first time I saw her was at Saks on Fifth Ave in NYC, and from that moment I knew one day she would be mine. If I had my way, I would choose the oh-so-supple white crocodile version. I cannot think of anything I would rather spend $20,000 on…aside from the "Birkin" bag mentioned above. Wouldn't I make the perfect girlfriend? Wanna go shopping sometime?

How to Choose the Perfect Handbag
There are so many handbags on offer, how to select the one that would complement your figure and go with most of your outfits? See fashion expert tips.
What purse style would work best with your figure?
Never mind the current fashion: your handbag should first of all complement your figure. A tiny purse on a largish woman looks a bit silly. But even though large bags are in fashion now, don't go overboard, otherwise the bag will distract attention from your person. See examples of how to match purses to your figure.
If you are slim and tall, go for a round or square shaped purse. If you are not very tall, a bottle shaped handbag would look best. And, of course, a not very large backpack works perfectly for any figure.
Most handbags have adjustable handles, so make use of them. Large bags should never hang at the level of your hips: if necessary shorten the handle, so the bag comes to your waist line. And if you wear a backpack, it should not hang down over your backside: adjust the handles so it is just above your waist. This looks better, doesn't put as much pressure on your lower back, and forces you to keep a good posture.
What color should you choose?
These days handbags are very colorful. Of course, this means that you can no longer have just one bag that would go with any outfit you wear. However, if you wear a lot of blue, orange or green, a matching color purse would make your outfit complete. Fruit prints are currently 'in', with the most popular being cherries, peaches and apples.
As far as prints go, a plain, one-color handbag is more practical as it is easier to match with your clothes. However, if you wear a single-colored dress, adding a bright, multicolored handbag might be a good idea.
Also each season of the year favors different handbag colors. All greens are very popular in spring, while red and orange are often seen in autumn. Winter favorites are white and all shades of blue.
And, of course, black is still a classic, which goes with any outfit. Brown handbags, too, are still popular although they are not very practical: a brown bag would only work with brown or beige clothing.
What are most fashionable purse materials?
Leather is always a classic, and it works for any situation and with any outfit. However, other purse materials are fashionable now. Fabric bags can look very stylish, as well as a mix of fabric and leather. Straw bags are simple, and create a great look for the summer. Moreover, since straw looks very natural, it works well with a summer outfit of any color.

Handbags and Women - Choice or Biological Destiny?
Handbags have been one of the necessities of life for women ever since recorded history began. It was important to have the items that one used often close at hand and articles found in a purse have ranged from ornate sewing scissors (17th century) to todays mandatory cell phone and credit cards. Why is it that women carry their belongings around and men just have their wallets? My opinion is that the need to carry something to hold goods is a fundamental need rooted in the biology of females. Who is the main caregiver of the family from prehistory to the present? Yes, I know that traditional roles are gradually evolving but what person in the "traditional" family is the most responsible for taking care of everyone? In most cases, it is the woman who gets people organized and make sure everyone has whatever they need.
Biologically speaking, the female of our species takes care of her offspring and makes sure that all needs will be taken care of once the home is left. I believe that this has evolved into women carrying all that they need and what everyone else could possibly want in their handbag. To illustrate - when you go out with a male friend do you ask him for tissues, pen, or paper? No - you ask another female. Another nurturer is more likely to have some basic necessities than a male.
Am I saying that there is a basic "purse carrying" gene? No - what I am saying is that, biologically speaking, females are the caregivers of the world and have always had this role thrust upon them since the beginning of Homo sapiens. It is our destiny (both physically and psychologically) to make sure that the world is in order. We can't handle the entire planet but we do our best to organize our own particular sphere! Our "caregiving" instincts are attuned to others and, if we fight this destiny, there is a feeling of things not being "quite right" around us. So enjoy carrying your handbag and know that you are making the global community a better place for all!

Handbags: Never Have Enough
What is it about fashion that drive the ladies mad? It's certainly handbags and shoes- an awesome pairing that makes significant others jealous everywhere.
And no, it's never sufficient to have only one in your repertoire, but to have an entire years worth of handbags and fashion supplements so that you can match it with whatever you're wearing that day (or whatever mood you're in).
There is something very sensual and raw about handbags- they project femininity. It's probably the defining accessory for women because it goes beyond footwear, or other wearing apparel we put on our physical bodies- handbags are what make women standout from a purely fashion point of view.
Handbags are not only eye candy, indeed, they serve various different purposes as well. There are all purpose handbags that can carry your daily necessities such as cell phones, makeup, wallet, keys and anything else you'd like to have around with you.
There are particular handbags that people use to carry their canine fellows as well. Women hardly ever use one style of handbag. They usually have a rack full of different bags for different occasions.
There are all sorts of styles and fashions of handbags that will suit the taste of any discerning woman in the whole world. From well-known handbags such as Coach, to lesser known producers, there are wide product lines as diverse and unique as the stars in the sky.
If you think that's still not impressive, there is a constant evolution of handbags on a annual basis, whereby the hottest new designers come out with a refreshing approach while the veteran designers produce instant classics adored by all.
Some groups prefer the name brands exclusively, while others go for lower tier handbags and purses, while yet others may consider a mix or even opt for replicas. Replicas usually are inferior in quality and certainly a poor way to spend your money.

How To Nurture Your Designer Handbag
Whether your designer handbag is a Louis Vuitton, a Gucci, or any other designer, it is important to take proper care of it. Proper care will give you many years of beauty and use in return.
Most leather designer bags are not treated. This allows the bags to age gracefully and with the character expected from a designer bag, making them distinct and unique.
Keep your bag away from makeup, food, or any other oil based product which can stain. When you are not using your bag, store it in a protective cloth container. The very first thing you should do is treat your handbag with a leather protector to prevent stains from setting in. No matter how careful you are, at some point you are likely to leave a mark on it and the leather protection will not allow it to soak in so you'll be able to more easily remove it.
What to do if you get a stain. Here's some helpful tips worth trying.
Cleaning leather can be a bit difficult. Leather is rugged and it lasts a long time but it does stain quite easily. Depending on the type of leather and the finish, will determine the cleaning method used.
If a handbag is tanned, and pigmented you can try to wipe the stain with a soft damp cloth. If this doesn't work, try a leather cleaner specifically made for the type of leather you have. Follow the directions carefully.
Once the spot has been removed it is a good idea to re-condition the leather to restore the natural luster. Always test a leather product in inconspicuous spot before applying to your entire handbag.
If the leather has become discolored there are leather products on the market that can help restore color. Try to match the product as close as possible to the natural color of your handbag.

Who Is the Star? Handbag Or The Celebrity?
Every year, we witness the changing trends in handbags being carried out on the red carpet by our favorite celebrities. A woman's outfit is never complete without the perfect handbag, and the starlets of the big screen are never complete without their trendy designer purses. Who are your favorite stars, and what designer bags are they carrying with them wherever they go?Everyone's favorite teeny bopper, Hillary Duff, has really taken to the designs of Lauren Scherr. Whether on stage or on set, Hillary is absolutely in love with these funky bags. These handbags are a lot of fun, and the extravagant materials used in their design evidence this. Our personal favorite is the Cosette black satin bucket shaped purse, which is covered in layers of pink and black ostrich feathers with sequin banding along the top. You go girl!
Paris Hilton, of television and Internet fame, has been seen around Los Angeles carrying bags from Surly Girl Studios. These bags have become very popular with her legions of fans, and we can see why. These bags have a very simple and classic design, with a hint of understated sensuality a la Jackie-O. Our current fave from Surly Girl features one of this years big trends; metallic materials. These bags truly shine! From their Red Carpet Collection, this bag features a gold metallic lambskin exterior, large Austrian crystals and high-end nickel hardware. Divas watch out!
Terry Hatcher, everyone's favorite desperate housewife, has been seen everywhere this year. With the success of her smash hit television program, it comes as no surprise. She has been seen around New York sporting bags from Lorelei. These purses are both simple and extravagant; simple designs with extravagant patterns. We absolutely love the "Lindsay" model in Cobalt and Gold. Everything you need to take out with you for an evening will fit snugly into this wonderful envelope clutch. Oh yes! They're real and they're spectacular!
Whatever your tastes are, there is certainly a perfect handbag out there for you. Look to the stars, and the answers will come to you!
